Privacy
What Qualt stores, where it goes, and how to delete it.
What Qualt stores
- Your account. Your name, email address, an optional username and how you sign in: a password (stored only as a hash), passkeys, or a Google or GitHub account you link.
- Your work. Projects, tasks, subtasks, notes, tags, the images you attach, and the history of changes, including which were made by an agent.
- Your connections. The agents and apps you connect, and the keys they use.
- Sign-in records. Each session records the IP address and browser it was started from. Server logs record requests for a limited time, to keep the service running.
What it doesn’t do
No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing. One cookie keeps you signed in. Every account has its own private workspace: nobody else can read it, and the admin page shows counts and dates, never what you wrote.
Where it’s kept
Qualt runs on Cloudflare. The database is in Western Europe and attached images are stored in the European Union.
AI features
A few features send the text of the task or project they work on to an AI service, to produce the result and for nothing else:
- Tagging a new task: TypeSafe AI.
- Clarifying a task: Cloudflare Workers AI.
- Adding steps to a task and suggesting tags for a project: OpenAI.
Your agents
An agent you connect can read and change your workspace with the access you gave it. Disconnect it in Settings and its access ends at once.
The iPhone and Mac apps
The apps keep a copy of your workspace on the device so they work offline, and their sign-in in the keychain. On the Mac, pressing ⌘ twice reads what you have selected in the app in front, at that moment only, and needs the Accessibility permission you grant in System Settings. The apps collect nothing else.
Deleting your data
Deleting a task, a project or an image removes it. To delete everything, open Settings, then Account, and choose Delete account: your account, your work and your connections are deleted right away, and the stored images shortly after. Database backups kept by Cloudflare expire within 30 days.
